We've heard great things about Monel's--we're going to have to get over there one of these days and give it a try!

Thank you for all your suggestions. We went to Cabana on the first night. Food was excellent! We had planned to go to the Pancake Pantry the following morning, however we were so full from dinner we didn't make it. The second night we were so exhausted from driving all over looking at homes that we wanted to stay local. We ended up at Cherokee Steak House in Lebanon. You definitely get your worth of meat. We had steak for 2 and ended up with 3lbs of meat.

Glad to hear you enjoyed Cabana! How was your trip otherwise? Hope you had a good time.

Pancake Pantry is awesome...definitely be prepared for a wait, especially on the weekend. But it's worth it. Have some chocolate chip pancakes for me!

Oh thank you! We aren't much for chain restaurants and really like local restaurants...from greasy spoons to fine dining.

So far in Franklin, we've had good meals/fun times at Saffire, Dotson's and Puckett's.

Has anyone eaten at Athens Family Restaurant? I love Greek food.

I can't say enough good things about Athens.

I've lived in Middle TN my whole life & haven't tried Prince's Hot Chicken Shack someone mentioned earlier yet, here's an interesting write up about it from Epicurious The Epi-Log on Epicurious.com: Hot For Chicken
