Can anybody tell me where I can get some hot chow chow in the Nashville area? We just returned from a short trip over to The Smokeies and bought some hot chow chow at one of the Smokey Mountain info centers. Now would like to get some more.

Thanks

Some stores such as Publix carry chow-chow. I can't tell you whether it's any good or not. I have a friend in South Carolina who makes and sends me all the chow-chow I need (which isn't very much).

If the Nashville Farmer's Market was the way it use to be I might also suggest looking there, but they took out so many of the little stores inside that it would be hit-or-miss whether you could find it there.

I'll be going to Publix tomorrow morning. If I can remember, I'll see what they have. I remember seeing it there, but I can't remember whether they have two or three types, or only one. I'm thinking they have two types: hot and mild.

I'm not really big on Chows either, but most people around here don't eat dogs.

You probably don't want to know. ;-)

It's a type of relish. I think everyone who makes it has their own "special recipe". Think of it as sort of a southern or Appalachian salsa . . . sort of.

Well, I don't like regualr relish, but I would try it if I had the opportunity. Thanks for educating me!
