I enjoy wearing leather, I guess I justify the cow is already being used for food. Plus it's excellent wind protection when riding motorcycles. Fur animals are raised for their fur only, I find this disgusting.
I kind of feel the same about heads of animals hung on walls, or elephant feet used for footstools. As if someone need decor more than the animal to live. I don't mind hunting for food, trophy hunting is just not something I approve of.

I lean in your same direction, honestly. If the animal's meat is being used for food (as it is for most leather animals), then it seems more honorable to the animal in general to be using everything.
The Fur trade is a totally different story.....especially China's.
I am against wearing fur......not sure how I feel about leather, though
I'm against fur unless it's coyote... No problem with coyote fur since it's all from predator hunting. I love leather goods, however.
In all seriousness, I wouldn't buy a fur coat because I think it's ridiculous. I wouldn't have any problem with salvaging a hide to be made into a garment from an animal that I killed for another purpose and I can't really manage any judgement at all towards people that DO choose to wear fur products, but that's not really my thing.
Leather is just too useful to hold a grudge against if you ask me.

This is the saddest fate for animals.....they even use dogs and cats. Very sick!
I'm not into fur. Lest one should think I'm one of these animal-rights p...s, I'm not, because I'm not against it either. Fur clothing, to me, just seems more of a "rich woman thing", neither of which I am.
Needless to say I probably wouldn't have survived the ice age.
