I haven't seen all the mountains in the USA so I cannot answer the question except to say if it is a mountain it is probably beautiful.

There are so many Mountains and Mountain areas, it would be nearly impossible to decide on the beauty of just one.

^Mount Rainer is certainly very beautiful!

^Montana has gorgeous Mountains -above Glacier National Park

^Although much smaller in Size, I have always loved the Smokey Mountains

^Take Me home Country Road - those West Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains have a special place in my heart

^Kentucky's Appalachian Mountains are dear to my heart

^Cumberland Mts

^The beauty of Colorado's Mountains are hard to beat

^Adirondack Mountains

^Alaska has incredible Mountains - they could hold their own with just about any one.

Of the 96 "14'ers" in the USA, over half of them are in Colorado. So many to choose from here

I can't think of any mountains I have thought were not beautiful. I prefer mountains to beaches. All have something to offer.

Favorite range is the Sangre de Cristos of Colorado (the ones in New Mexico are nice, but not as nice as the peaks in Colorado)...

In terms of a single peak...Mount Saint Elias in Alaska. It makes Rainier look like a hill which says a lot about it because Rainier is a very serious mountain.

Whichever mountain I'm on at any given time!

Seriously, no mountain from a distance can ever compare to the exquisite detail of seeing it up close - ie, from its flanks, its slopes, its summit. I'll take the lowliest anonymous mountain if I'm hiking one of its ridges over the mountain people think looks great... from a distance and the air-conditioned comfort of their car and/or hotel room (or even their house).

Mountains are nice to look at. They're immeasurably more interesting to explore!
