She was looking for a perfect world for her bears. I hope that she's in it now with them.

I don't know whether to cry for her and her bears or to be happy that she is now at peace.

What a great story. Glad to hear investigators determined the bears did not kill her.

This reminds me of another woman I read about who had befriended bears for years. When she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she became so weak she could barely hold her arm out. One of the bears gently supported her hand while she hand fed it.

It reinforces my belief that all animals can experience love, compassion and empathy.

What a fascinating story---thanks for sharing it! Her whole life was very interesting.

I too am very glad it was determined that the bears were not her cause of death.

The bears may not realize it, but they are probably lucky the medical examiner didn't point a finger at them. They would be hurtin' for certain otherwise. She was a brave, determined person who apparently died doing what she loved best, among friends.
