The creatures you listed are predators.
They have nothing that preys upon them except man.
By and large hunters are FAR MORE conservationists than some urban wackos that have never seen a predator take down prey.

It's our job to maintain the balance.

No - hunters f%^&*ed up the balance by killing the top predators and wiping them out in many areas. Don't come sailing in now and claim its your job to maintain the balance that you effed up in the first place.

Delusional self-justification.

While I don't hunt anymore (its been 20 years or more) I can tell you first hand that hunters tend to be very involved in conservation....much more so than the general population. So in your mind, if hunting is an unacceptable method for controlling the population, how would YOU resolve the issue? Do you actually live in an area of concern? Perhaps you believe there is no issue.

For the record I'm generally not in favor of killing these predators as I enjoy observing them in the wild. That said, I don't live in an area where they are present and causing issues.

Perhaps all you overly emotional people should first read the actual text of that resolution:

https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/BILLS-...5hjres69ih.xml

And here's the background on why Congress felt the FWS was overstepping its authority:

On August, 5, 2016, FWS issued its final rule, which seizes authority away from the State of Alaska to manage fish and wildlife for both recreational and non-subsistence uses on federal wildlife refuges in Alaska.
The Congressional Review Act empowers Congress to review new federal regulations issued by government agencies. With the passage of a joint resolution and the signature of the president, Congress can overrule a regulation.

Congress gave Alaska's authority back to Alaska. That's it.

If you actually have legitimate concerns about how Alaska will exercise its authority over its wildlife, contact Alaskan lawmakers. It's not and was never the federal government's place to make such rules.
