I am considering a transfer to Scottsbluff, and have one main concern.

I don't drive, but will be able to walk to my job, so that is not the issue. My main concern is with health care facilities in the area. I know the city is rather small, but I've heard it has a good regional hospital.

I don't need to have a particular doctor at this time, but I am just wondering "what if"?. I checked my insurance, and only two family practices are listed as "in-network" within ten miles of the city The regional medical center is also covered.

Is this typically enough for most people who live there, or do you find yourself having to go out of town a lot for medical needs?

I don't live there but have heard the Regional Center is an excellent hospital. I also believe the hospital is connected with hospitals in Cheyenne and Loveland/Fort Collins. If those can't off the services you need, you are probably looking at heading to Denver.

Scottsbluff Regional is an excellent hospital. Most specialty clinics are either in-house, or brought in from Dvr/FtC. Ie, they come up the Bluffs X number of times per month.

I would have been transferring from North Dakota, but have decided not to pursue the transfer at this time.
