If you saw my post about Lovelock, I later realized that it would be a while before I should worry about that possibility. If I end up working in Winnemucca, it may be more realistic to live there for a while to get situated--*may* be more realistic if there's even anywhere to live in Winnemucca. A rental would be a better arrangement than a house purchase but so far all I see are expensive apartments too big for my needs. The prices I've seen are enough to keep me in cheap Tonopah for a while longer. Years ago, I lived in an area where it was common for properties to have cottages behind the main house and thus there were a lot of eclectic rentals small enough for one or two people. Do properties like this exist around Winnemucca? What do single people do for rental housing in the area? (My significant other would continue to live in Fallon until we find a way to get under the same roof either there or in Lovelock.) Are there rentals out there for less than $700? Thanks.
