We see alot of bikers from Vegas up in Ely. They usually take the 15 north to the 93. After Ash Springs, I'd continue on the 93 thru Caliente, Panaca, and Pioche, up thru Lake Valley and Spring Valley and over Connors Pass, stay the night (Hotel Nevada I think has bikers' packages. They seem to be the big bike hangout in town) and take the NV 318 Thru Lund and Hiko back. Makes a nice weekend trip, about 280 miles up and 240 miles back.

Try the whole length of Hwy 50 from Carson City to Ely (and beyond to Utah) www.rockymountainroads.com/nevada/us-006_us-050_eb_after_ely_app_great_basin_np.jpg (broken link) There's virtually no one out there
. I've done this trip twice by car but saw a lot of bikes out there.
