I am especially intersted in Hawthorne and Walker Lake, but I want to live in a junkyard and will not tolerat any zoning especially aesthetic land use regulation or any unit density limits. I'm not big on building codes either. Do they exist in Hawthorne or Mineral County?
Where in NV is there the least land use and building regulation?

I would say that Pahrump may be where you want to live.

You will find no happiness in the south. Both Clark and Nye have planning functions and various codes.

I believe you will find various health codes dealing with wells and septic everywhere in Nevada.

I doubt you will do any good around Walker Lake or Hawthorne. Maybe some of the northerners can tell you where man is a man and planning ain't.

Gold Point is a great town, last time we were there, there was dead guy in a car, most of the town was standing around looking at him, passing the bottle and trying to figure out what to do.

Well I will admit to supporting one land use regulation and that is no nukes, Esmerelda and Goldfield are pretty close to the nuclear test site and yucca mountain (assuming yucca mountain is near yucca lake). Could be militaristic too and therefore authoritarian.
I read that they keep finding old explosives in Walker Lake and that's too bad, but at least they aren't nuclear up there.

You are in for a very unsatisfactory experience. Ever area I know of that is isolated and having loose government regulation is inevitably inhablited in part by a sub culture of para military types. Wanna couple of 50 calibres? Try rural Idaho...or Nevada.

Who told you there where no nukes by Walker Lake?
