Headed to Hooksett...the southern end...and looking for a place for lunch. My 5 year old requested sushi. So where do we go!??!?!

We are coming up from Nashua so we can do anything in between. Normally we do Shira Kiku (which we love) but we'd like to try someplace in Manchester.

I don't usually have sushi when in Manchester, but have heard good things about Masa, just across the street from the lower mall entrance.

Thanks. I think that's where we are going to end up. Would love to try Mint, but they don't open until 4.

If you head to Concord instead of Manchester, Ichiban might worth considering as well..... Or even better, Moritomo! Yumm!

Yuki ((Manchester common plaza) does a good job on their sushi, the best sushi near Hooksett. My current NH favorite for sushi is Yoshimama.

I still like Shira Kiku, but it's not the same without the crazy waitress and teapots of Makgeolli. I was there the day that both left forever

Went to Masa. It was pretty good. The maki are VERY generous....lots of fish. The Indian pancake was delicious.

It's a very trendy vibe, not traditional. But I'd go back.

Too late for your luncheon, but Taipei and Tokyo has very good sushi. Of course, it's hard to beat Shira Kiku. :-)

I find myself going to Shira Kiku for everything but the sushi. There are a half dozen places to get good sushi in S.NH, but how many other places serve Bibimpap and Haemul Pajeon?

Good point, Shira Kiku is a great place for Korean food also, but the sushi there is prepared a bit differently than other places and that distinguishes it. He does a lot with finely-chopped chives. Certainly it's the best eel I've had: perfectly toasted. One downside is that it's a bit more expensive than other places; for that reason, I tend to hit the Cherry Blossom in Milford or the fish market there.
