moving to NH 4/4/14-- property taxes (Lancaster: real estate, 2013, car registration)

I am moving back to New England after 20 years in the south. I plan on going to Coos County. I need recommendations for services: mechanic, barber etc... But I'd like to get info on property taxes. Not only is the real estate (property) taxes high, but I need to know about the car excise taxes. We have 92 & 96 vehicles. How do I find out what those will run me a year?

Also, how much is a chord of firewood?

Recommendations on any of the above would be appreciated.

As for towns in Coos County, I prefer Lancaster the best.

call up the town you plan on moving to, and just ask them over the phone. If they actually answer the phone that is.. But just tell them youre looking to purchase a car and wanted to know the registration or tax is..

And as far as going rate of wood.. just go on NH craigslist.. top result was this link.. 150-215$ depends how aged. Cord wood

Can you find a list that shows the different rates different towns charge for registration?? I cant locate one, and had no success getting through the automated systems
