Cute little kid.

I think it is great that at 2.5 years old he swims that well.

Buck - I had seen that video before and it's awesome! Hubby's granddaughter learned to swim when she was less than a year old, not sure if they used this technique, though....she's 5 now and quite the "little fish."

Buck, thank you for posting that link! That was GREAT!!! I was feeling the same as allboyz, but amazed at how calm that baby was throughout. His cries sounded as though he was irritated "get me out NOW!" but definitely not afraid. And that smile when his Dad (?) picked him up was beautiful.

Allboyz, did you watch the entire video?? Try again, the ending is worth it

Default Ok, Dad saved him

Valerie,

You are correct, I didn't make it through the whole video the first time. It was freaking me out. All my mother instincts were going crazy! I did watch it again and I am relieved to see that the baby did have a parent near by and was not left alone for all eternity as it seemed. Those parents must have nerves of steel!

Thanks for letting me know it ended well!
(still a little scary though!)

Learning to swim at an early age is VERY important and this is a great reminder to enroll those kiddies in lessons! Thank you for sharing! When I was an infant I fell into a pool (Mom's description is more like "slipped") and nobody noticed until I had already sunk to the bottom and had to be revived because I was under for so long. I think that just being around water tons will help save a young child to react better. One of my own girls did the same as I did at her grandma's house but she was around water and was swimming all the time. I saw the entire thing, but was amazed at her reaction. She fell in, turned to her back and spread her limbs out and never cried. She was so calm ... those diapers do help too ... they are like floatation devices. I was amazed at my DH reaction time too, but then again he use to be a trained lifeguard. He had already dove into the water while I was still getting off my rear end.

It's probably a very cool video...but I'm too anxious to watch!!! I'll probably perceive it as a michael jackson parenting moment!
