I'm looking to plan a 3 day vacation to NH, Lake Winnipesaukee area the 3rd week in Oct.
Any suggestions on lodging? Possibly something on the lake or lake view?
Suggestions on restaurants? Attractions? I have no problem taking a drive either to places.

I can research the Internet but this was the first & best place for suggestions!

Thanks!

Spanky,we are Merdith residents and frequent the restaurants, shops and spa at the Mills Falls complex frequently.I would strongly recommend Church Landing. The rooms are beautiful and relaxing, the restaurant is very good and you can walk to most anything in town.

Second or third the Meredith suggestion. The town is much nicer than Laconia.

No doubt Meredith is nicer, bur those rooms at that resort are going to run 300-400 dollars per night. Since he will be driving around the lake anyway, a decent place like BN in Laconia will run him 80$ per night. I don't know the OPs budget, but the BN motel is only 3 or 4 miles from Meredith & 3 nights there will run him about $260 dollars as opposed to over one thousand dollars to stay in Meredith for 3 nights.

We have no idea what the OP's budget is, but rooms at Mill Falls start at $140 per night during the third week of October, not "300-400 dollars per night."

I'm on the site now. The BASIC cheapest room from Thurs, Check out Sunday is $991 TOTAL (3 night) "Basic"
I was hoping to spend that much with a balcony water view. However, that's not the case. The TOTAL for 3 nights for a water "view" & balcony is $1600 for 3 nights
That's crazy!!!!!!!!!

I'll have to keep looking. I greatly appreciate all the feed back!
Keep it coming! Thank you!

Are you looking at Oct 20-23 and you selected "All Properties"? I see rooms for much less than those prices.
