NH cases now = 26. Some of these have no identifiable risk factors, consistent with community transmission.

We should make sure to post every time there's a new case in NH....27, 28, 29......c'mon people. To put it into perspective, there's over a million people in NH. No need to add to mass hysteria. Be safe and stay home when you can.

Default What Covid-19 looks like in patients - a view from Seattle

Some interesting info on a JAMA podcast from Dr John Lynch, an infectious disease specialist from Seattle, on what Covid-19 looks like.

1. Covid-19 symptoms, especially in the early going or in milder cases, are virtually indistinguishable from influenza

2. Covid-19 prevalence is likely therefore HIGHLY underestimated, as it looks symptomatically just like the flu, and testing is still being rolled out. Many Covid-19 cases, including fatal ones, are likely being ascribed to the flu.

3. There is a spectrum of patient experiences from gradual onset progressing to mild symptoms that resolve on their own (usually younger patients) to rapid onset - people going downhill quickly, arriving at the hospital critically ill, needing to be put on a ventilator and then dying within 24 hours (usually older patients)

Stores are empty of supplies, restaurants losing customers, and yet here I am still not knowing anyone infected .. but I see a lot of abuses of governmental power and a lot of herd mentality

The economic damage and the further encroachment on liberty is going to do far more damage than this virus ever would have done if left unfettered. This includes deaths. Hunger was on the way to be eradicated from the world, and if these draconian measures do not stop now, I expect the economic damage will reverse what has been a decline in worldwide hunger-related deaths.

Gee Dave, given that so far there's only 65 positive cases in NH and NH has a population of 1.356 MILLION people maybe you're just not as popular as you'd like to believe?

Keep in mind that every state started out with ZERO positive infections and now there hundreds of deaths across the country.

The only way to keep this from spinning out of control is for everyone to do their part and stay home whenever possible, practice social distancing, and of course hand washing etc.

It's not just your health you're endangering by ignoring this advice.

Don't panic, don't horde, just take that advice seriously.
