Hello, I am new to the forum. I have been searching the net for some guidelines for converting a single family home to a two family in Seabrook NH. I have experience in all phases of renovation so I will be doing all the work myself. I have most of it all planned out, and I will actually be changing very little/nothing about the house (short of adding a kitchen to the second floor). Bathrooms and egresses are already in place. Just wanted an experienced persons thoughts and tips on what to watch for when it comes to specific code requirements.

Thanks.....

check with the town hall to see if it is permissible to change the dwelling to a 2 family. Most towns have restrictions re: change of use, parking, etc..
