My family and I are relocating to the Philly area this summer.
We have 3 kids 14, 12 & 10 and are researching areas to live.
I am a District Manager and will have 18 locations all around Philly from Atlantic City to Doylestown PA and Media to Moorestown. I am used to driving needless to say.
We are looking to rent for now until we learn the area and know where we want to settle but I will probably office in Cherry Hill. We are conservative in politics, christian in belief and love the ocean and the mountains. We are looking for good schools (middle and high school) and may consider private schools.
Any recomendations? We are visiting next week and plan to drive around and scout.
We are lookng for a 4 bedroom home maybe around 2,500 sq ft...what can we expect to pay? I am hoping around $2k month.
Sounds like we need to start around Cherry Hill but not sure we can afford anything in that area...any feedback for us?

Sounds like you would be a good fit in Haddonfield or Moorestown, though rentals of that size may stretch your budget a bit. Cherry Hill itself would also check every box, but it is also an ethnically and religiously diverse area, much more so than Haddonfield or Moorestown, but boasts one of the top school systems around.

If driving isn't a major issue, I would also steer you towards Marlton or Medford. Marlton has a decent number of rentals, though again, the size you want might be an issue. Not sure on Medford rentals, but they are rather rare. It is a more rural area, but beautiful and both Marlton and Medford have excellent school systems.

Other nice areas where you might have some better rental luck in that price range are Cinnaminson, Mt. Laurel, Voorhees and Haddon Twp.

I think your biggest hurdle is going to be renting a house with 2,500 sq.ft. and 4 bedrooms in a community that matches the profile you described. I think you're going to find you may need to stretch that budget a bit or compromise on the size.
