Citing financial troubles, a nursing home in Princeton gave 70 residents and their families mere hours’ notice before shutting down Friday (Sept. 1, 2023), setting off a chaotic scene that scattered distraught senior citizens to 16 facilities across the state, according to the New Jersey Long-Term Care Ombudsman.

Residents of the Princeton Care Center learned only Friday morning they no longer had a place to live and needed to leave the premises as soon as possible.

That story has horrified me since I read about it last week. Those poor residents! And the staff who haven't been paid. Ugh. This should never have happened. It's not like it was a secret the place was failing in many ways, including financial. NJ.com did a lengthy story on it today, but it looks like the article is currently a "subscriber exclusive": https://www.nj.com/news/2023/09/insi...y-evicted.html

Place was a heck hole for some time, but news wasn't exactly forthcoming in detail from owners.
