My fiance and I going to buy a house this year in either the Cherry Hill area, or in Collingswood. Are the schools in Collingswood as good as Cherry Hill?

Anything else we should consider? No kids yet, but planning to start in a year or so. I will commute to Philly, and he will commute to Trenton.

Thanks!

Both are decent choices. What are you looking for though? Do you want to be able to walk to nearby shops? Do you want to live closer mass highways? I think schools are better in Cherry Hill overall but I could be wrong on that. You probably get more house for your money in Cherry Hill. But you also get a more suburbia vibe as well. (which may be totally fine with you)
Collingswood (Haddon Twp) area is more of a small city feel. All really depends on what you are looking for as both would be suitable for most people.

The city/suburbs part isn't too much of a difference to us. We're coming from downtown Philly and NYC, so all the towns feel suburban to us. We're "ready" for this jump to the burbs though and want to pick a good place to raise a family.

I would take Haddonfield over both. If you can swing it since Haddonfield prices are higher than both towns you mentioned on average.

Hands down Cherry Hill!!!!!

Collingswood is coming back but it has quite a way to go. You want to be farther from Camden that this town is.

Cherry Hill has great schools.

Cherry Hill has far better schools and much higher taxes.

Both are nice towns. Collingswood has more of a small town feel with a nice main street, old houses. Cherry Hill is more suburban. Cherry Hill has better schools.

Also...I sent you a private message....so check your in-box.
