That bakery and it former home on Adams Street is part of the fabric and history of Hoboken. People who know Hoboken for what it was realize this fact.
Its places like Carlos and Fiore's, Leo's, Biggies, Stan's, the Clambroth House etc that made Hoboken what it is today.

Hey, the economy is so bad right now...good for them that a Ma & Pa is doing so well. I had a long discussion with a VERY good, classically trained, French baker from around where I live. She said it is almost impossible to really get ahead being a baker today unless you sell your soul to the wedding machines which are the big catering halls or hotels etc. She said that they don't like your prices in many cases & the prices are to cover the expenses of the finer ingredients (fresh seasonal fruits, fine chocolates etc.). So unless you compromise & create a lesser product (which she refused to do) you lose all that business because these catering halls & hotels will not allow a bride & groom to bring in their own cake in many cases. This is why there is almost no such thing as the corner bakery anymore which there was almost one in every town at one point. So again I say good for them to have made it this long & good for them to be excelling when everyone else is struggling….which I could find that equation in my life….lol
