What is cheaper - William Paterson or Ramapo? Also opinions and answers from current and former alumni would be excellent. Thank you.

William Paterson University - Tuition, Billing and Payment Information

Ramapo College of New Jersey || Bursar: Cost Information

Looks like WPU is more expensive.

Not sure on the expense, but Ramapo has a much better reputation.

are you sure WP is more expensive?

it says 4 credits, 1200 bucks
4 * 3 is 12 credits, 1200* 3 is 3600

ramapo is $5,936.80 for 12-18 credits.

i would expect ramapo to be more expensive and i would go there over WP however would also expect ramapo to be much less diverse.

i had no idea you could go to college for this cheap. not bad.

Ramapo has a lot of foreign students from Africa and Asia. I remember reading that somewhere a few years ago.

It's a nicer college as far as area and environment.

Not sure I was looking at the per credit charge for full time is $390 vs. $307. But that was at a quick glance, I certainly could have missed something.

Ramapo is a much better school. WPU recent grads include Sammi Sweetheart from the Jersey Shore that should tell you something right there

Just a quick suggestion as cost seems important. Take some courses at the community college level. With good grades all the NJ schools will accept all the credits earned for about 1/2 the price.

So Ramapo is surprisingly cheaper? That is interesting especially since Ramapo classes are less but they are 4 credits versus 3 credits. Also, does Berkley College accepts scholarships and grants outside of the standard State and Pell Grants? For example, if I applied for a scholarship that a retail company or ethnic scholarship would Berkley accept it?
