I probably sound like the scrooge here. I'm still shoveling from Sunday night and winter has only officially been 10 days but I'm sick of it already. After below normal December temps.(1 degree in Bay Head yesterday morning) I can't wait for the spring. It's not even January yet. Any other thoughts or am I a confirmed nut job!

Well, I cannot confirm that you are not a nut job but I am sick of winter already, too.

I wouldn't care so much if I didn't have to get up and go out in it every day.

But it's supposed to hit the forties today and tomorrow, so enjoy these days while they are here. And look forward to March. Hey, at least the days will be getting longer, minute by minute. My fenced-in back patio/garden area was FILLED with snow, and I've got to get the thing cleaned out because the new furnace/ac guys are coming next week (rescheduled from Monday when no one could go anywhere) and I have to uncover the old compressor. I'm going to let it melt as much as possible and then shovel the rest out Sunday, I think.

Default I'm sick of it too

I've lived in NJ my whole life and now we're in Monmouth Cty. We got clobbered. I'm 48 and the older I get, the less I like the winter. Actually, I hate it. I have young kids and I try not to let my dislike of the weather rub off on them but the boots and the salt and the ice on the roads...hate all of it. Keeping the mess out of the house with two kids and a dog is impossible in the snow. I keep telling DH that we need to move somewhere warmer. Not hot all year round but a bit warmer than this. I don't know how people in the Dakotas do it!

I'd rather it be cold, not freezing cold but decent because when it gets HOT out there theres only so much you can take off!! Hell you could be naket you'd still sweat your a$$ off! at least in the cold you can bundle up and be comfortable. Moral of my post is I don't like to sweat from just blinking an eye. haha

I'm the exact opposite. I hate the heat. At this rate I'm going to live in Alaska by the time I'm 40.

Hate to break it to you, but this is normal. And get ready for the next one end of next week, maybe.
