The apt complex itself was fixed up not to many years back, so overall they are in OK shape. Aside from that you have everything within the complex such as a super market barber etc etc because the area outside the complex is a literal war zone. I will say they do a great job with security for people coming and going. But like I said before the area is HORRIBLE. This is all my opinion from a year ago , the last time I was there, so things in the complex could have changed for better or worse.

Got lost driving around there on a Saturday morning at 7am last weekend. Yes...people in the hood are STILL out at that time of day in the dead cold just hanging around....I dreaded every single red light I had to wait at.

I'm not gonna say you should avoid living there, and I'm not gonna say its some big scary place but you have to look at all the factors here, and the fact that theres cheaper and more quality places than Maple Gardens in almost every NJ town.

Seriously, why would you move to Irvington? Theres really nothing there for anyone.

Its a safe city for the most part , stay away form the blocks near Jersey City's Greenville section in the North of Bayonne. Other then that its a nice and quiet city.
