Yes I have posted a thread on here before about Indians facing racism in New Jersey and we got off to a really bad start with that, didn't we?
So now instead of putting my head in there, telling my personal experiences visiting the state, and whining about a state I have not lived in. I will let the ones who live in New Jersey enlighten me.
I know a few people in my state from New Jersey, they have been GREAT people and I really found the Garden State to be beautiful myself.
For whatever reason, it isn't really "un-PC" to casually talk about Indians, or Asians in general like that. The only thing I took offense in from that article was his slightly offensive reference to Hinduism.
Also, why do you insist on making all of these assinine threads? Go do something productive and stop worrying about useless crap.
I think most people hold a certain feeling towards the town they grew up in, and to see a massive change in demographics over a short period of time would be tough to deal with in my opinion.

Is that animosity still present towards Indians in a lot of areas in Jersey or was the article basically a joke in many ways?

I do not think that any animosity exists on any kind of widespread basis.
I only know two Indian people personally though. One went to my HS, and the other was my roommate during college. Neither of them ever mentioned any kind of animosity or racial issues...
