Our cities are in crisis, and it’s time for the governor, state attorney general, mayors and legislators to address it — with words and action and money. With urgency.
Actually only Newark and Irvington have the serious issues and are climbing or not stable. But Governor needs to act....the cities should not be the place to fear and now the crime is seeping into the burbs...
So Trenton, Camden and Paterson are doing just fine?
No , but not as bad as Newark or Irvington....which have since rises....idk about Camden or Trenton .... Paterson and Passaic seem to be stable for now...
come on now. you haven't figured it out yet. the crime isn't going to go down until it's election time when these people are trying to get reelected and use the decrease in crime as a way of getting votes. happens all the time. this has been going on forever. if newark suddenly has a serious decrease in crime for how many years straight then you know something is wrong because that's just unheard of. newark has been a dump for almost 45 years. same thing for trenton, camden and all the other cities in jersey. it's just unheard of. i can't imagine newark becoming like brooklyn and turning into a hipster town.
The key is increased law enforcement and a bigger and better correctional system. Violent crime will drop when the negative consequences of engaging in such crime increases.

are you sure about that? it didn't work for california and it damn sure won't work for new jersey especially with chris christie trying to cut spending.
