How far south can I go with a reasonable commute if I am working in Linden? (New Brunswick: rental)

Got a new job working very close to the turnpike in Linden. In the early stages of things, but want to get an idea as to what is out there.
Would like to keep commute at 45 minutes or less. Looking to buy a condo or townhouse (even a house, if possible) in the $140,000-200,000 range. Needs to be a good investment long term as I would like to keep the property as a rental long term after i move on.
initially thinking to look at Hazlet and New Brunswick, but not all that familiar on the area. Any other suggestions? Do not mind doing work on the place (as long as its liveable upon purchase)
