I am attending Rutgers in Piscataway and my wife is working in East Hanover.
We are considering moving from Piscataway to somewhere in between and looking for suggestions.

We want to rent a 1bdr or 2dr apartment for the time being.
It's just two of us so school is not a concern at all.

Things of concern:
1. We'd prefer shorter commuting distances and safe neighborhoods. It doesn't have to be halfway, but if not, preferably closer to East Hanover.
2. Easy access to convenience stores and restaurants are preferred but not necessary.
3. Adjacency to Asian supermarkets/restaurants would be great but at an even less priority level.

Any recommendations would be welcome. Thank you very much in advance!

What is your price range?

There are many towns that might fit, but we'd need to know how much you can afford to spend.

Ah good call. Thank you.

For 1-bedroom apartment I think less than $1500 per month would be good, or slightly higher than that.

Btw, it can be very close to East Hanover, as long as it's convenient to get onto 287 in the morning
