Personally, I always hated that people think we say "Nu Joisy". I never heard that once in my life.

I dislike the thought that NJ is dirty and filthy. The jets land at Newark Airport and they see the oil terminals, I go to the beach whenever i can and the mountains.

That the beaches are dirty. We have damn near the best water quality in the US.

Report: N.J. has second-best beach water quality in nation | NJ.com

Me, too! I hate when people say "Why would NEW JERSEY be called the Garden State???" They have no idea we have anything but smoke stacks and malls. When I pick people up from the airport, I like to take scenic routes or routes past farm towns. Out of staters are amazed that we even have trees! When I worked for awhile in Houston, a co-worker was astounded to know we have beaches (this was before Jersey Shore).

Sadly, Snookie gives NJ a bad name..........Not everyone has big hair in NJ! I didn't when I lived there!lol

People do drive alot faster in the state than others I have lived in. Then again Massachusetts drivers weren't much better!

Met someone from the west coast and he/she wanted to "experience" NJ and wanted to know where the "big hair" was. Is this what NJ is known for?? So stupid~

That annoys me no end. I've never heard a person from NJ say "Joisey" and I've lived here for all of my 53 years.
