Try Branchburg. It has good schools, safe neighborhood and reasonable house price. The only negative is commute to NYC. It is close to Bridgewater & Somerville train stations but one has to change trains in Newark which adds 10 minutes to the commute.
Then get your day started 10 minutes earlier. What's the big deal?
We didn't need a live in nanny as my wife was a stay at home mom for our 3 kids.

South Brunswick fits your bill except for the price. With that budget you should be able to find something in freehold, old bridge or Monroe. Obviously the commute from these places are bus only.
