You can get more property for the same amount of money with lower property taxes.

that's not what I meant.

compare and contrast similar properties in NNJ and SI, taking into account housing cost and taxes, but offset that by the increased city, state, sales tax and tolls. since you know SI is unequivocally cheaper, you must've done this analysis, right?

i can tell you right off the bat property is cheaper in my NNJ town than SI.

I've done it, but, Nah, I don't feel like doing that on here, too much work. What town is that?

Another question for the OP:
Can you tell us why you changed your screen name?

When we first began helping you with information in this forum, you used the screen name "Bolshoi".
Apparently, you later abandoned that name and replaced it with "OleSchoolFool".

I am just curious. Why??

so if you've done all the work, why are you asking which is more affordable? you have done your extensive analysis in the past 23 hours? Cool!

you can get a 5 bdrm on nearly 2 acres for the same if not lower price than a 3 bdrm in SI on .18 acres. i've mentioned my town in the past, i don't feel like typing it now, it's too much work.

Wait a minute! Glen Ridge, is that the town where four high-school athletes raped a mentally-challenged young woman with a bat? There is a book about that town, called "Our Guys." The parents did not raise them too well.

I would rather live in Staten Island than Glen Ridge.

I this really the reason??? LOL.

I can understand if you would rather live in Staten Island. Different strokes, and all, but don't you think this is a silly reason for your choice?
