I got a job at Princeton NJ. I am looking out for a place to rent. My work place is on the college road East, Princeton, NJ. Which place would be nearer one to stay.

First question is will you be operating your own vehicle? I have worked in that area and believe most transportation is via private conveyance.

College Rd East is actually in Plainsboro, NJ (shares a zip w/ Princeton).

There are several apartment complexes in Plainsboro.

lots of rental apartments within 20 minutes in Plainsboro, Princeton, South Brunswick and Franklin Township along Rt 27. All depends on how much you want to spend on rent and commute time.

look at Fox Run or Hunters Glen in Plainsboro. A bus will take you the 1 mile ride to your job

Try a service like these for short-term corporate housing.

Corporate Housing and furnished apartments in New Jersey: furnishedhousing.com

NJ Furnished Apartments & Short Term Rentals | Elite Corporate Housing

Corporate Housing, Temporary Apartments, Government Lodging, Serviced Apartments and Extended Stay Housing | Oakwood

I've never used these services myself. Perhaps someone who has can comment further.

You can also check out some of the hotels on Route One that have extended stay studios with kitchen. The longer you're staying the less the daily rate will be, i.e. Marriott Residence Inn, Extended Stay America. There are others.
