We're looking for a low tax town near princeton area ,we don't have school age kids so schools are not our priority .

There are low tax towns near Princeton NC but Princeton NJ.

"low" is all relative. Low compared to what?

Ewing and Hamilton are two areas I would look at if you aren't concerned with schools.

Low tax town made me chuckle. Sorry, but there's "lower than other parts of NJ" but nothing in NJ is low tax. I am a Jersey Girl and I wanted to retire there. HAH, not affordable on my budget.

If you insist of staying in NJ, Monroe has relatively low taxes for the area. But expect to still pay 8K minimum and the area while not too far from places is somewhat removed and isolated.

I'd suggest you try looking in the southern parts of Hunterdon County, specifically East Amwell and Delaware Twp. The tax rates there are lower than what you'll see in Mercer or Middlesex County. Here is a great resource for the tax rates NJ Division of Taxation - General Tax Rates by County and Municipality
