What is the best material to use for driveways between pavers and asphalt? Why?

Concrete, cheaper than pavers, last longer than asphalt.

I used 3/4" beige [flat square] stone. It was inexpensive ($45/ton), looks beachy, and requires little maintenance. (The picture shows the stone before the rain washed off the dust to reveal the true beige color.) Harder to remove snow, though.

I got five estimates to remove and replace an old cement sidewalk with new cement/concrete. Every estimate was higher than the price I got for pavers. Above, in another post is a picture of my pavers. This was done a couple of weeks ago. (I was surprised the pavers cost me less.)

Thanks! This was all very helpful! Did anyone do the installation themselves, or is that a bit too ambitious? Should I just hire a company instead? I've had a few companies recommended to me, but I am still weighing my options.

The cement sidewalk was removed, pavers installed, driveway leveled, and 12 tons of stone added in ONE day. There is no way I could have done that.

Haha, very true. I thought about making it a summer project, but I'm not positive if my brother and I will be able to get the job done on our own. Plus I'd rather the final product look nice, and considering neither of us has done this before, it might be too risky. Do you have any recommendations for companies? I've heard that McFarlane Paving does a nice job, but I am looking for a few other places to look into as well before I make my final decision.

Default Does any one know paving cost by sq ft ?

I have a circular driveway which is roughly 6 car long. A recent estimate by a contractor came to 4.6k for a 10 ft wide asphalt paving (we already have the bottom layer of gravels done).
Does any one know what is the right price and should I take up the project now or wait till next summer?
thanks
