Recently moved to Scotch Plains near Inman Grove Shopping Center and am trying to find the quickest route to Metro Park around 7:30 am. Def not Wood Avenue. Any ideas? What is a better time? Is this a slow period and does it get worse when school starts. So far commute that takes 15 minutes most other times takes anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes in the morning so far. Any suggestions? Last, is there a way to figure out when the freight trains come through as that adds 4 minutes to the commute by itself. Thanks in advance for any help.

Drive to a Raritan Valley Station? Drive to Rahway? Metro Park is the busiest station on the NEC. Traffic in and out during rush is a joke.

I find that just a zoo too. If you live on the northeast area of the town, rahway might be a better choice. The wait for parking is not bad (some times there is no waiting list, some times there is a short one)
