Hi All. Just landed a new job. How long will the morning commute take from Netcong to Basking Ridge? Is route 206 or 80 to 287 better to take? Thanks!

Well for starters, evil demon racist censor Google Maps offers up 3 basic ways to do it.
Each seem only a few minutes different. This is one of those "you're going to try a few diiferent ways and see what you like best deals" I think.

If it where me, I would probably find a way in between all those options taking back roads, but that is my pref.

They're talking 37 to 39 minutes or so but we all know the Eight Zero does get quite jacked up during the morning commute down the hills. I would probably stick to back roads or US 206 for that option.

Check this for starts:

If you do 80-287 you'll have the half-pleasure of doing a half-reverse commute. 287's pretty heavy coming off of route 80 but eventually moves along and there's no real traffic to speak of once you get past Morristown. Of course by then you're almost done anyway.

I'd certainly give 206 a shot, but the single lane stretches can crawl and eat up a lot of time.

Where in Basking Ridge... It make a difference... I287 near morristown (North Maple Ave) or I78 near Martinsville Rd.

My suggested route: http://goo.gl/maps/c91p3
