This is part of the reason I moved to JC. I was fed up with communting on NJT. They consistently lie, are late and provide overall horrible service, especially for the cost.
Thats not their fault its the congestion of 6,000 buses trying to use 2 lanes into or out of NYC and over 400,000 commuters... Same with the Rail Congestion on the Northeast Corridor , which isn't their fault either...lack of investment is the problem in both cases...

While true, it's also very true that some NJT bus drivers just do not give a hell. Numerous times I've had a bus show up late because the driver just decided not to start the run on time.

What's funny is that the people who ride the private bus carriers are all complaining and wishing NJT would take over their routes....
But the Private buses are just as late as NJT....its the Terminal itself....one time the line for my route back up at least 400 people deep had to wait 2hrs....
No, I've actually had a driver tell me that "ehh, some guys just don't feel like starting the run when they're supposed to, it's not right but they'll do what they want".
Honestly I always had good experience with NJT. You start to appreciate our transit system once you go to other places :/
I use to take the train from Morristown to Penn. It was very unreliable. In the winter it broke down frequently and often re-routed you through Hoboken. In the evening there were always cancellations on the return trips. NJT is generally pretty awful and overpriced for such terrible and unreliable service.
