According to NBC, there is right now a raging fire in some building in Jersey City. I wonder if it is Sandy related.

Three rowhouses...looks like it may have started on the top floor of one of them.

The fire apparently started within minutes of the power returning to the buildings that burned. Probably related to damages to the building's internal wiring during the storm. Sad.

If you have family still without power, please check for any visible damage to the breaker box and the lines to the house. There may still be hidden electrical damage behind the walls.
