No matter what anyone might think of Chris Christie, he is definitely a smart guy, and he is a savvy politician.

CC might not actually be sincere with all of the praise that he is heaping on the POTUS, but in the best interests of the state, it is better to be an ally in times of need, rather than to be a critic.

And, in the best interests of himself as a politician, CC has read the political tea leaves sufficiently to know that Mr. Obama is going to cruise to a win with an electoral plurality of about 30-35 electoral votes. Or...to put it in more direct terms...Why continue to stay on the sinking SS Romney when it is clear that this alliance will no longer benefit CC?

As to Cory Booker, I can't say that I like him a lot (please note that "a lot" is two words, and that there is no such word as "alot" [sic] ), but I will keep an open mind if he does decide to run for statewide office.

I agree. We need someone who will actually try to get NJ more than that measely 69 cents we get back for each dollar we give to Washington, DC. and if Booker ran on that he'd probably get my vote.

Neither of our current Senators seem to care about that.

In fact, when he ran against Forrester Lautenberg justified that by saying it's fair because we're "a wealthy state"

I'm not wealthy. Neither are my friends, neighbors and co-workers.

Thanks for looking out for Mississippi and West Virginia, Frank.

Go be their Senator.

Overnight? The guy's had six years. And what has he done?? Newark is a declining slum. It was in better shape when Sharpe James, one of the most corrupt politicians of all time, was mayor. Can you name one thing about Newark he's improved? The only reason he's not being hammered is due to his predecessor. And why is he being touted for higher office? Simple ... he's a good looking guy, a great speaker and, yes, he and Obama have something in common. (BTW, I'm an independent who voted for Obama) If you go solely by track record, Booker has been a terrible mayor and the state would take a step back from Christie if Booker is elected governor.

When a big city mayor becomes Governor he often continues to favor his city to the exclusion of the rest of the state.

For all those who said no, you would rather vote for a "Beached Whale." who has been a complete failure during Sandy. He promised gas--there is no gas!

There is plenty of gas--you even said the stations near you were open but you didn't want to wait. Make up your mind.

I have no patience to wait in lines. I will not do it.
