Another question guys. Do you think I should let the kids watch Colbert Report & Daily Show? My oldest is turning 13 soon, and the youngest is 10. They are far more mature, and socially aware than many kids their age, and in this area, most adults. They've walked in on my watching it in my room, and have definitely understood the topics, and jokes. These two shows teach them more about society, economics and history than their teachers. However, sometimes it may be a bit much for kids this young(like the Porn Name piece on Colbert Report,lol). What do you guys think?

Well, my kids former teacher, is a Mormon, who finds Philly, Paterson, NJ & NYC repulsive(too many "coloreds" for them, especially since they believe dark skin is a curse from God), and adores O'reilly & Rush limpballs, (damn it I did it), also loves Colbert. She's NOT the only one I've met like that out here. Read comments on his website, or the FB page, to see how incredibly stupid some folks are. I just wanted to know if people in NJ would thought this way to see if it was a rural thing, or all extreme-right wingers & tea-partiers were that stupid.

Their teacher is me, but we are enrolled with cyber school, so the kids have to deal with these "teachers" to some extent( a couple of times a week), especially during state testing. I am always doing damage control over what some of these incompetent teachers who have no respect for the Establishment Clause do & say.

She hates gays & "coloreds", and anyone who isn't christian. I'm sure she finds a man who supports equality for all, especially gay marriage, to be a "good christian". They are that clueless here.
