I'm moving to Verona in two weeks and have had a hard time finding the most accurate numbers regarding time from Verona to NYC by bus. I"ll be near a few bus stations and will likely want to avoid having to drive to the train station in the long-run.
This said, I've hard mix opinions of both the buses and trains in the area and am looking for some honest truth regarding time breakdowns.
I would likely take the train if there was a route that was quick to that ended up being bus to train station and train station in - but i'm not sure that's even an option.
DeCamp offers express bus service to Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC. Routes, schedules and fares are on their website. Route 33 serves Verona. The "express via 280" buses will get you to the city fastest. The other variations of the 33 bus meander through Montclair and Bloomfield before heading into the city.

Thanks for the help in advance
decamp is unreliable, so i'd buy a month train pass from bloomfield or glen ridge to penn station, and take bus 29 from bloomfield ave parts of verona, 11 from route 23 parts of town, to bloomfield or glen ridge, then walk 1 block to train. bus included with train pass.
Thanks to everyone for the great information. If anyone has anything else to share - please continue to do so. This has been a huge help (and naturally, my employers thank you for helping me get to work on time)

If you don't want to drive to a train station, taking an NJT bus to an intersection near a Montclair-area train station and back every day isn't worth the time or hassle. You need to look at taking the DeCamp buses most days, especially if you can walk or get dropped off at the stop. They are far from a perfect operation, but much of the time not as bad as the impression you get from online reviews. You just have to remember that you're dealing with a bus running on very congested roads and highways and in and out of the busiest bus terminal in the world. Unpredictable traffic, weather, etc. is going to happen and some days will be rough... it goes with the territory of just about any NYC commute of the distance you're talking about.

^ confused. what is the hassle? besides, you will save money off the decamp bus, which happens to go the same direction to the train station as the njt bus, and i have never heard good things about decamp. plus 40 trips on decamp, around 1 months worth, is 267, but a monthly pass on njt from newark to nyc, which includes bus from verona to newark is around 140 a month.
