Hello everyone,

I am an Indian living in Pennsylvania, planning to move to NJ in last week of Jan.

I will be working in NY so it should be easy to commute and nearer to NYC.
Also, It should be safe with indian community around.

Can u guys Please me out in this.?

We have seen one apartment in "Lyndhurst" area in NJ, is it safe to live there.?

If Possible, Please suggest me other areas too (and also the apartments names).

Thank u

waiting for ur reply.

Lyndhurst isn't dangerous, but it's not that nice. It's mostly just car stores. I live in Garfield, NJ, and it's sort of like that, but less diverse. I used to live in Hasbrouck Heights, that's near NYC but can be expensive for houses. Wood-Ridge is safe, and so are Lodi, East Rutherford, & Rutherford. Nowhere in northesat NJ is really racist because it's really diverse in the NYC suburbs, but Rutherford/East Rutherford/Wood-Ridge/Lyndhurst are mostly white. Hasbrouck Heights is mostly white or Indian, & Garfield is mostly white or Hispanic. The only places to stay away from is Jersey City, because some parts are really bad. Tenafly, Closter, Demarest, and Montclair are also nicer, but about half an hour from NYC.

Highly recommend looking at Edison. Strong Indian community and very commutable to NYC. Safe with plenty of shopping nearby.
