There is no professional football in either Central or South Jersey.
So my guess is North Jersey.

We'll never know until they have a real playoff system. What do we wind up with, 20 state champs?

Sure they do! "THE IGGLES!" Actually I believe this post was directed at high school football. I never did understand the system this state has though. My fiancee's brother plays for Kittattiny and they lost by a hair this past weekend to Pasckak Valley.

I coach down in south jersey, and my team is in the state championship, but..... I definitely agree with having so many state champions....we need to be like PA, TEXAS, and other states and narrow down the champions to a solo champion per group meaning only 4 champions....and non public state champions

I can understand CA, texas, and some other states having multiple champs, but jersey is a pretty small state
It is not difficult for south jersey to travel and play north jersey at all
South Jersey has produced the better college talent though

Colonia HS won the White Division Championship - and the "Woodbridge Bragging Rights" trophy, but unfortunatly, lost the playoff game to Scotch Plains. They have some excellent players - and their captain was offered a full scholorship to many universities - including Notre Dame and Rutgers (He's going to Rutgers).
S. Plainfield won the playoffs and is in the state champs next round at Giants Stadium - so is Carteret HS.
SO I would say that central Jersey football players are pretty damn good!

North Jersey by far. The top Catholic schools in northern NJ are consistently ranked in the top 20 in the country.
