I got a job offer to relocate to New Jersey. I am from South Florida and trying to decide if it is worth moving there. I would be working in Bergen, Passaic and Hudson counties with office in Fairfield. Need to know:
Is 80-90k sufficient for a family of 3 in New Jersey?
Good town with good schools that is affordable and family friendly ( rent up to $1500?)
I am trying to make a decision if it is worth trading South Florida relaxed lifestyle to more crowded New Jersey? We gain about 30-40k a year with new job offered, but not sure if living expenses won't offset that as NJ is more expensive living. Never been there so don't know much about it only what people talk and internet.
Also is NJ allergy friendly? My kindergartener has peanut allergy and schools been very supportive here is South Florida as they even have Ep-pens in nurses office. What about NJ?
Any suggestions as of safe and not areas, schools, and decent and affordable locations for family. We love outdoors so local parks and playgrounds are necessity within 10-20 min drive.
