While browsing through various "abandoned" NJ websites came upon a link for "Jungle Habitat"

Jungle Habitat: Wild, Free and Abandoned | Weird NJ

Vaguely remember television commercials and other adverts for the place, but it wasn't on my parent's list of "things to do in NJ" so we never went. *LOL*

Popular class-trip destination in the early 70's. The concept of babboons on your car did not mix well with the then-popular vinyl roof....

yep, worked there in veterinary clinic.

commuted daily with lion cubs in an incubator in back of the vette. Raised about 15 lion cubs and 2 bear cubs between wbjh and home.

Ran vet clinic after resident vet left, worked with and consulted with other prominent zoo vets.

Directed capture and shipped critters at the end.

Darted escaped fallow deer at the DQ when no one was looking.

We all watched the day the constellation circled around burning fuel before it landed to become a restaurant. Was a real spectacle and edge of the seat event.
