Hello,

Is anyone familiar or can offer experiences on a weekday commute from Glen Gardner to Denville?

Google Maps estimates that it will take 40-45 minutes. (using 513)

Thanks in advance.

I don't think that should be too bad. Maybe add 10-15 minutes if you're traveling in peak times, with slower parts through Randolph/Denville/Rt10

If you are talking about going through Califon to Long Valley, to Chester, to Randolph and on to Denville, you are looking at much longer than 40 minutes. When I drive from the Chester/Randolph area to downtown Denville, non rush hour, it takes me around 25/30 minutes. Coming all the way from Glen Gardner, it will take you nearly 30 minutes just to get to downtown Chester, let alone go further north into Morris County. The basic rule of thumb is to take whatever googlemaps suggests and multiply it by 2 and add 10% to get a more realistic estimate. You may shave a little bit of time as you are avoiding 206, and 24 for the most part, but you'll run into lots of traffic any way you go through Chester, Randolph, etc. (rte 10, rte 46, rte 53, are all overcrowded and congested not to forget all the traffic lights. And rte 80 or 287 is worse)

Yeah, that "rule" gets repeated alot, but no way is that trip 1.5 hours.

Yeah, I was thinking about 1 hr. The Glen Gardner to Chester piece (to right before the intersection of 206) on 513 is a breeze no matter time of day - may have to sit at the light in the center of Long Valley, but that's it.
