Hello all,

I'm starting a new thread about preschools-I did explore some options as far as Ridgewood Montessori and YMCA but was wondering if there were other recommendations from the forum? The co-op does not have options for a working parent as far as extended care although the school looks great. Any help would be great. We will be moving to the area in the summer. My son is 2 1/2.

Thank you!!

Please be more specific on your request of information. You state that as a working parent the co-op doesn't have options that work for you… So, what does, or does not work for you? More specifically, what are you looking for??? Hours of needed care possibly?

I live in the area and my son went to Wyckoff Reformed. Had a wonderful experience there. When your child is old enough to go to kindergarden (there is only 1/2 day in GR/Ridgewood I believe) , you may wam nt to look into the enrichment programs at Wyckoff Y to supplement.
I know it's not exactly where you wanted to be, but many of the towns in Bergen county are close so going to Wyckoff will be really easy for you . I have no experience with the Ridgewood Y or Montessori programs.
Good luck.

To clarify- I am looking for a preschool that has extended hours at least until the late afternoon. Also-I was also wondering about programs for Jewish families in the area. Any suggestions would be great both sectarian and non-sectarian. Thank you!

Two places in Glen Rock are Glen Rock Jewish Center and All Saint's Church Preschool. I would recommend calling them and speaking with those in charge of the programs. I've heard good things about both. I know All Saint's doesn't push any religion of any kind on the students and has many options for hours.
