I have an Uncle in Bernardsville. While much of it is upscale, as others have said, there are definitely middle class homes as well. There are no bad sections.
hello. "the help" don't live Bernardsville. They take train from "Newark" (anything east of summit and west of central park is considered "newark" if you live in b-ville)
I was doing a drive-by of a house in Bernardsville this past weekend. As I drove down Center Street, I saw an unkempt house with a young woman and her baby on a porch that had a bench press on it. I was taken a bit aback by this.
I am house shopping and was wondering about this street and the neighboring streets. I am not too familiar with this town, and this was not remotely close to my impression of the town.
Are there areas to stay away from in Bernardsville?
I guess if you're from Mendham, Chester or Peapack certain parts of Bernardsville might seem like da 'hood.
There is reference to slightly "less desirable" sections of town. It's not all Bentleys and Mazeratis.
My wife saw a house we really liked, but decided against it as that particular small neighborhood seemed to have suffered a decline (several properties - walking distance to the downtown - seemed to be neglected)
bernaaaahrdsville is the rich way to say it apparently
It was called Seecawcus when the pig farms were there, now it's Sehcaucus, since it's been gentrified.
Oh the ghettos of Bernardsville, Basking Ridge, etc. OH the humanity!!!!!
