That said, back to the original topic, parts of South Jersey are beautiful and safe. But like others have indicated, I'd put Vineland and Millville towards the bottom of that list with dead last reserved for Camden.

Get a dozen eggs on the way to pick up your cedar fencing along rt 9.

Then there is "Hammonton, The Blueberry Capital of the World"

Always a fear that if you shot a deer down there some guys would take it away from you.

Where else would you go to shoot brandt and see a Canada Goose?

Sugar sand, tea colored water, motorcycle gang party land and mafia burial ground great pickerel fishing.

Tobbacco stains on the drivers door of pick-up trucks and who didn't belong to a fire company?

Always had trouble understanding the slurred words which was closer to a southern accent.

Then again, Forked River was considered north Jersey by folks in New Gretna.
Some people down there do have a southern (sort of) accent.

No one has mentioned chiggers? Yes, there are chiggers out in those piney woods. I learned that the hard way. There are fence lizards, too.

If you live in Salem County, don't tell anyone that you haven't been to the Cowtown Rodeo.

If you've lived there long enough, you may have swum in the azure waters of an old sand pit, sandy beach included.

Greenwich, Cumberland County, burnt their tea rather than dump it into the bay. Cumberland County, NJ - Greenwich Tea Burning: 1774 It's a nice little town. There are a couple of marinas nearby, a couple of decent restaurants.
