I had to move suddenly from my apt(fire) and I saw to places. One on 63 Storms avenue, and one 32 jewett ave. I was wondering what people's experiences with the safety of this neighborhood?

Where was your former apt as this may determine if that area would be ok for you? Myself, not even if the rent was free as I'm assuming these are off either Bergen or Monticello Ave.

I lived on Hopkins on the border between "The Heights" and Journal Square. The area was pretty safe. I didn't have much issue with it.

The area north of Journal Square where you lived is much better than the Southern area of McGinley. I'd recommend you stay above Montgomery.
