I am moving to NJ/NY area. Work for me will be in Tarry town and my boy friend will be working in Bridgewater. We are looking for a place some where in the middle.. Any recommendations that folks may have ??? I heard that Montclair, Wayne, Verona, Little falls, Pompton lakes etc are good areas. I did hear that Wayne has a flooding problem...
wow, that is a big seperation between jobs! i dont evny you.
anyway, looks like the middle ground is actually in bergen county.
i would check woodridge/fort lee and areas around there....good luck
i would council you, instead of moving right in the middle, to move closer to Tarrytown, as you are going to have the worse commute (i think 87 over the tappan zee will be rough) - and your boyfriend will for the most part be going against traffic (except on 287 near rt 80). oakland, ramsey perhaps?
If you two don't procure jobs closer to each other, you'll break up, because you'll hardly be seeing one another. Tarrytown and Bridgewater? That's tough. Suffren might be your best bet.

eh....i travelled 4 years straight (m-f, about 46 wks a year)...we lived to tell the tale
Hit it up in Clifton, thats somewhat in between the two commutes. Goin north towards Tarrytown will no doubt be more of a hassle than going to Bridgewater.. so being on the closer side to Tarrytown is a better choice.. but dont be selfish just kidding
But Clifton is a good area to settle. Also like your suggested towns in Montclair, Verona, and Wayne are also good.
Budget is vital information to tell because it gets pricey in that specific area
